Privacy policy

Nothing that identifies you. This version of Whalewatch has no accounts or sign-up, no ads, and no analytics or tracking tools. We don’t ask for your name, email, location or contacts, and we don’t use your device’s advertising ID. We don’t sell or share any data, because we don’t have any.

Two small settings, saved only on your phone or in your browser:

They never leave your device, and we can’t see them. Deleting the app, or clearing this site’s data in your browser, removes them.

Whalewatch itself sets no cookies. Like any website, the company that hosts our site may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you asked for, so it can deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use them to find out who you are.

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You can turn this off in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.

Every number links to where it comes from: SEC.gov, news sites and the funds’ own websites. When you follow a link, you leave Whalewatch, and that site’s own privacy policy applies.

When you share a fund, your device’s own share sheet sends it. We don’t see what you share or who you send it to. In a browser that can’t share, the link is copied to your clipboard instead.

Whalewatch isn’t made for children, and it doesn’t collect personal data from anyone, of any age.

If a future version adds ads, analytics or accounts, we’ll update this page before that version comes out, and say plainly what is collected and why. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.
